Submission Guidelines

1. How to Submit

Manuscripts should preferably be submitted through the NikoUArxive Research-Development Platform . Alternatively, authors may submit their manuscript to the official IJFPS editorial email address: fundamentaljournals@gmail.com .

2. Required Files

Authors should provide both of the following:

• Editable manuscript: Microsoft Word format (.docx), prepared using the official IJFPS manuscript template available in the website sidebar.
• Matching PDF: A PDF exported from the same Word document and identical in content to the editable manuscript.

Suggested file-name format: IJFPS–CorrespondingAuthor–Year–ShortTitle.docx and IJFPS–CorrespondingAuthor–Year–ShortTitle.pdf.

3. General Formatting

• Prepare the manuscript in a single-column layout using the official IJFPS Word template.
• Use A4 page size and the margins, spacing, fonts, and styles specified in the template.
• Use the built-in Word styles for the title, headings, subheadings, body text, captions, and references.
• Avoid unnecessary manual page breaks, section breaks, spaces, tabs, and other formatting that may interfere with production.
• Manuscripts must be written in clear professional English.
• Use SI units and maintain consistent symbols, terminology, abbreviations, and significant figures.
• Define every abbreviation at first use, except for internationally established standard abbreviations.

4. Recommended Manuscript Structure

Research manuscripts should normally contain:

• The abstract should normally contain approximately 150–250 words.
• Provide approximately 5–8 relevant keywords.
• The structure may be adapted appropriately for review articles, short communications, perspectives, and methods, data, or software articles.

5. Equations and Mathematical Notation

• Create editable equations using Microsoft Word Equation Tools. Do not submit equations as images.
• Number displayed equations sequentially as (1), (2), (3), ….
• Refer to numbered equations consistently in the text, for example, Equation (1) or Eq. (1).
• Define all symbols, variables, operators, and uncommon notation when first introduced.
• Maintain consistent notation and typographical conventions throughout the manuscript.

6. Figures, Tables, and Plots

• Place each figure and table within the manuscript near its first relevant discussion.
• Place figure captions below figures and table titles above tables.
• Number figures and tables consecutively and cite every item in the main text.
• Captions should be concise but sufficiently informative for the item to be understood.
• Use high-quality graphics with clearly legible labels, symbols, legends, scales, and axis titles.
• As a general guide, use approximately 300 dpi for photographs and 600 dpi for line drawings where raster images are necessary.
• Authors must have permission to reproduce any previously published or third-party material.
• Image enhancement or processing must not misrepresent, conceal, remove, or fabricate scientific information.

7. References and In-Text Citations

• Prepare citations and the reference list consistently in APA 7th edition style.
• Use the author–date citation system: (Author, Year).
• For two authors, cite both surnames. For three or more authors, use the first author’s surname followed by et al.
• Include a DOI as a clickable https://doi.org/... link whenever one is available.
• Cite reliable and directly relevant scholarly sources, with priority given to original research and authoritative publications.
• General-purpose encyclopedias, informal websites, and unverifiable sources should not normally be used as evidence for scientific claims.
• Authors are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of every reference.

Author Instructions

IJFPS gives priority to originality, scientific rigor, methodological soundness, clarity, transparency, and relevance to the journal’s scope. A manuscript should present a clearly identifiable contribution, such as a new idea, method, result, dataset, software resource, or critical synthesis.

Originality and Significance

• Clearly state what is new and why the contribution is scientifically important.
• Explain the research problem, existing knowledge gap, objectives, and principal results in the abstract and introduction.
• Conclusions must be supported by the methods, analysis, and evidence presented.

Methods, Data, Code, and Reproducibility

• Provide sufficient methodological information to permit scientific evaluation and, where reasonably possible, replication.
• Computational studies should describe data sources, preprocessing, algorithms, parameters, software environments, validation procedures, and uncertainty assessment.
• Include a Data and Code Availability statement. If access is restricted, explain the ethical, legal, privacy, security, proprietary, or practical reason.

Authorship and Contributor Roles

• Every listed author must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution and must approve the submitted manuscript.
• Guest, honorary, and ghost authorship are not permitted.
• IJFPS may request an Author Contributions statement using the CRediT Contributor Role Taxonomy .
• Authors are strongly encouraged to provide an ORCID iD .

Artificial-Intelligence Tools

• Authors must disclose substantive use of artificial-intelligence tools in manuscript drafting, translation, coding, data analysis, literature processing, or image production.
• The disclosure should identify the tool and explain how it was used.
• Artificial-intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors because they cannot accept responsibility, approve publication, or manage conflicts of interest.
• Human authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, citations, integrity, and reproducibility of the submitted work.

Ethics, Funding, and Conflicts of Interest

• The manuscript must be original, must not have been formally published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal.
• Authors must disclose all relevant funding sources and financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
• Research involving humans, animals, sensitive information, or regulated materials must include appropriate ethical approval and consent information where applicable.
• Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, citation manipulation, and duplicate publication are prohibited and may result in rejection or corrective action under the journal’s publication-ethics policies.

Preprints

Posting a manuscript as a clearly identified preprint does not normally prevent consideration by IJFPS. Authors should disclose the preprint at submission and provide its URL or identifier. Where NikoUArxive is used, public preprint posting will be undertaken only with the author’s explicit authorization.

Language and Presentation

Authors are responsible for submitting a clear, coherent, and professionally presented manuscript. Editorial or language assistance does not guarantee acceptance and does not replace the author’s responsibility for the scientific content.

Submission and Editorial Process

1. Submit the matching .docx and .pdf files through NikoUArxive or by email to fundamentaljournals@gmail.com .
2. The editorial office verifies the submission files, authorship information, scope, basic formatting, and policy compliance.
3. When appropriate, the Journal Manager registers the corresponding author and sends an official account-activation or password-setting link.
4. Manuscripts passing initial editorial screening normally undergo single-blind peer review, in which reviewers remain anonymous and author identities are visible to reviewers.
5. IJFPS aims to provide an initial editorial decision in approximately 3–4 weeks; however, the actual time depends on editorial assessment, reviewer availability, and the complexity of the manuscript.
6. Following acceptance and completion of the publication requirements, the article is published online and assigned a Crossref DOI.

Waivers and Discounts

Full or partial waivers may be considered in exceptional circumstances, including significant financial hardship, eligible country-based support, or an outstanding contribution of exceptional scientific value. Requests are handled confidentially and separately from peer review. Waivers and discounts are not automatic and remain subject to editorial and administrative approval.
