Indexing
Articles published in the International Journal of Fundamental Physical Sciences (IJFPS) are supported by DOI registration, structured metadata, repository records, library cataloguing, scholarly discovery services, reference-management platforms, and research-metrics systems.
Journal identifiers: ISSN 2231-8186 | DOI prefix 10.14331/ijfps
Important clarification: The services listed below perform different functions. Repository inclusion, DOI registration, library cataloguing, scholarly discovery, reference management, and research metrics should not be interpreted as identical forms of indexing or as endorsement by a selective citation index.
NikoUArxive Repository and Research-Development Records
Beginning in 2026, NikoUArxive has been developed as an affiliated preprint, research-development, and publication-record platform. It maintains separate archives for preliminary manuscripts and final journal publications.
| Platform | Record Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| NikoUArxive | Preprint Archive Manuscript before peer review |
The NikoUArxive Preprint Archive presents preliminary manuscripts before formal IJFPS peer review, editorial revision, correction, acceptance, or journal publication. Each publicly posted preprint is clearly identified as a preliminary scholarly work and should not be interpreted as a peer-reviewed or accepted journal article. |
| NikoUArxive | Published Archive Final journal versions |
The NikoUArxive Published Archive provides searchable records of final articles published by IJFPS and associated journals. Records may include the journal name, title, authors, publication year, volume, issue, pages, DOI, and access to the published article. The journal version is added only after formal publication. |
Preprint Status and Author Consent
Inclusion in the NikoUArxive Preprint Archive means that a manuscript has passed basic administrative, identity, scope, and file-integrity checks for public presentation. It does not mean that the manuscript has passed IJFPS peer review or has been accepted for journal publication.
A submitted manuscript will be made publicly available as a preprint only with the corresponding author’s explicit authorization. Authors may submit a manuscript for editorial consideration without consenting to public preprint posting.
Where a preprint is subsequently revised and formally published, its NikoUArxive record may be updated to provide a clear link to the final peer-reviewed journal version and its DOI while preserving the distinction between the preprint and the version of record.
External Discovery, DOI, Library, and Metrics Services
| Service | Platform and Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Google Scholar | Google Scholar Scholarly discovery |
Published IJFPS articles may be discovered through Google Scholar when its automated systems identify and process the journal’s article pages, metadata, and publication files. Coverage and citation counts are determined and updated independently by Google Scholar. |
| Crossref | Crossref DOI Records DOI registration and metadata |
IJFPS registers persistent Digital Object Identifiers for published articles through Crossref. Bibliographic metadata are deposited to support reliable identification, citation linking, reference matching, and scholarly discovery. IJFPS DOI path: 10.14331/ijfps. |
| WorldCat | WorldCat Journal Record International library catalogue |
IJFPS has a bibliographic record in WorldCat, the international library catalogue operated by OCLC. The record identifies the journal as an English-language electronic journal with ISSN 2231-8186 and OCLC number 778771933. |
| Mendeley | Mendeley Records Reference management |
Bibliographic records for IJFPS articles may be found and managed through Mendeley. Researchers may save references, organize personal libraries, and generate citations using available article metadata. |
| Scilit | IJFPS Records in Scilit Scholarly-literature database |
IJFPS publication records are discoverable through Scilit, which gathers and organizes scholarly-publication metadata from Crossref and other sources. The direct link provides access to the available IJFPS publication records in Scilit. |
| Dimensions | Dimensions Research discovery and analytics |
IJFPS publications may be found through Dimensions when publication and DOI metadata are incorporated into its research-information system. Dimensions provides research discovery, linking, citation information, and analytics according to its own coverage and update processes. |
| PlumX | PlumX Metrics Article-level metrics |
PlumX, an Elsevier service, provides article-level indicators such as citations, usage, captures, mentions, and social-media attention when data are available. PlumX is a metrics service rather than a selective journal-indexing database. |
External Coverage Notice
External services independently determine which records they collect, display, update, or remove. IJFPS cannot guarantee the coverage, processing time, citation count, ranking, or continued availability of an article record in any third-party service. Authors should verify individual records directly through the relevant platform.
Preprint and Published-Version Identification
- A preprint is a preliminary manuscript made publicly available before formal journal peer review and acceptance.
- An accepted manuscript has received a formal acceptance decision but may still require production preparation and should not yet be described as the final published version.
- The version of record is the final article formally published by the journal with its definitive bibliographic information and DOI.
When citing a published IJFPS article, authors and readers should use the final journal version and its DOI whenever available.
