Author Instructions

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official IJFPS Microsoft Word template available under Manuscript Template in the website sidebar. Detailed requirements concerning manuscript structure, equations, figures, tables, references, and required files are provided in the Submission Guidelines .

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the submitted Word and PDF files are complete, consistent, and approved by all listed authors.

Originality and Scientific Significance

• Clearly identify the scientific problem, knowledge gap, objectives, and original contribution.
• Explain in the abstract and introduction what is new, how the work differs from previous studies, and why the results are scientifically important.
• Support conclusions with appropriate methods, evidence, analysis, and discussion.
• Avoid exaggerated claims and clearly distinguish established results from interpretation, inference, prediction, or speculation.

Methods, Data, Code, and Reproducibility

Authors should provide sufficient methodological detail to permit proper scientific evaluation and, where reasonably possible, replication of the study.

• Describe the study design, instruments, materials, models, assumptions, algorithms, parameters, and statistical methods.
• Computational and data-science studies should identify data sources, preprocessing procedures, software environments, validation methods, and uncertainty assessments.
• Identify databases, software, code libraries, and external resources sufficiently to permit verification.
• Include a Data and Code Availability Statement. If access is restricted, explain the ethical, legal, privacy, security, proprietary, or practical reason.

Authorship and Contributor Responsibilities

• Every listed author must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work.
• All authors must approve the submitted manuscript and accept responsibility for their contributions.
• Guest, honorary, purchased, and ghost authorship are not permitted.
• Changes to authorship after submission require a written explanation and the agreement of all affected authors.
• The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for ensuring that all authors receive relevant editorial information.

IJFPS may request an Author Contributions statement using the CRediT Contributor Role Taxonomy .

Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their ORCID iD to support accurate and persistent identification.

Use of Artificial-Intelligence Tools

Authors must disclose any substantive use of artificial-intelligence tools during manuscript preparation or research. This includes their use in text drafting or translation, literature processing, coding, data analysis, statistical analysis, simulation, or image production.

• The disclosure should identify the tool and briefly explain how it was used.
• Artificial-intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors or cited as responsible contributors.
• Authors must independently verify AI-generated text, calculations, code, references, images, and interpretations.
• Human authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, citations, and conclusions of the manuscript.

Ethics and Originality

• Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and inappropriate image or data manipulation are prohibited.
• Authors must appropriately cite and acknowledge all sources, data, ideas, methods, software, and reproduced material.
• Necessary permission must be obtained for copyrighted or third-party material.
• Research involving human participants, animals, sensitive data, or regulated materials must include appropriate ethics approval and consent information where applicable.
• Suspected ethical violations will be investigated and may result in rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the evidence and stage of publication.

Funding and Conflicts of Interest

Authors must identify all financial support, grants, institutional resources, and other funding associated with the research. Grant numbers should be provided where available.

All authors must disclose relevant financial and non-financial conflicts of interest. If no conflict exists, include a statement such as: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Preprints and Previous Dissemination

Posting a manuscript as a clearly identified preprint does not normally prevent consideration by IJFPS. Authors must disclose the preprint during submission and provide its URL or persistent identifier.

Authors may use the NikoUArxive Research-Development Platform for preliminary manuscript evaluation and preprint services. Public posting as a preprint will occur only with the author’s explicit authorization.

Language and Presentation Quality

Manuscripts must be written in clear, coherent, and professional English. Authors who are uncertain about the language quality should consider careful proofreading or appropriate language-editing assistance before submission.

Language or editorial assistance does not guarantee acceptance and does not replace the authors’ responsibility for the scientific accuracy and integrity of their work.
