    <abstract>Qualitative and quantitative interpretations of aeromagnetic map over part of the Southern Bida Basin, West-Central Nigeria were carried out using spectral analysis. The magnetic anomaly and first vertical derivative maps revealed intense faulting trending E-W and NE-SW. Spectral method results indicate two depth sources: shallow (0.45–1.49 km) and deep (2.81–3.24 km). The region contains a linear depression with sediment accumulation, and the average sedimentary thickness is about 2.90 km, suggesting possible hydrocarbon generation potential in the central part.</abstract>
